Customer Rating: Summary: Rhino scores a terrific soundtrack! Comment: I LOVE soundtracks, especially when they include the actual music from the movie. If you have read any of my other soundtrack reviews, you will notice that NOT MANY soundtracks include actual music from their respective movies.
Juno, however, DOES. Not only does the soundtrack include all of the music used, it includes it IN THE ORDER IT APPEARS IN THE MOVIE ... yay!
I considered buying the 2-disc special edition of this, but in the end I purchased this single-disc version. I am HAPPY with my choice.
Now this CD travels with me in my car at all times. 2-thumbs up ... wizard.
Customer Rating: Summary: It started with a couch Comment: I consider myself to be one of those people that can appreciate any kind of music. I never heard of any of the bands on this soundtrack but it I thoroughly enjoyed the music. It's very innocent and makes you yearn for your forever lost youth. Nostalgic.
Customer Rating: Summary: Watch out for the song samples included by Amazon Comment: This review will not be in the usual format, since this product has been extensively and very well reviewed by prior reviewers.
Rather, I want to alert Amazon customers that the samples for the short songs (< 1 min) are way too short and insufficient to tell what the song is like.
In particular, Up the Spout is so short that it is impossible to find what part of the song the sample came from.
Even on short songs, a 10-sec sample should be enough without "giving away the house".
Customer Rating: Summary: A Good Kind Of Quirky Comment: The JUNO SOUNDTRACK is off beat and zany, but it is great fun to listen to. This CD is enjoyed by everyone in my family: my husband, 11 year old daughter, 3 year old daughter, and me. It is one of our favorite CDs to listen to in the car, and since we all have such divergent tastes, that says a lot right there.
The first song, "All I Want is You" is a favorite of the 3 year old. She calls it "The Harmonica Song," and knows all the words better than I do. The lyrics to this folksy song are very cute, and it is accompanied by, of course, a harmonica as well as an acoustic guitar. This is one I don't mind listening to repeatedly, as is her wont at this age.
The rest of the songs are equally whimsical and quirky, some without words, some you have heard before ("Dearest" by Buddy Holly), some interesting, all just plain enjoyable. The voices are all earthy and unique, and I find myself drawn to them. It is kind of like being at a sing-a-long with a bunch of close friends.
The JUNO SOUNDTRACK is great for my family during long car trips. There is peace, harmony, good music, and no bickering. Hey, that alone makes this a highly recommended and very valuable asset.
Customer Rating: Summary: garbage - if you like this then you need to learn about jazz or something Comment: there are times you wish the samples of the music were less than 10 seconds. this is one of them. there is so much creativity here that im not even going to capitalize anything. how much more will hollywood try to shove down our throats. we are already puking. line this up with all the Jlo spears trash and incinerate. hey -- let some more rich kids get together to make a movie and a soundtrack and give it some awards and expect everyone to like it and then tell everyone your successful. nevermind -- they are doing this to us over and over and over. this is like home movies and music of some studio dads children -- we don't need this garbage. bottom line if you want to throw up buy this.

Fox Searchlight Picture’s December 2007 coming-of-age comedy Juno, directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking). The narrative centers on whip-smart Juno (Ellen Page, in a breakthrough role), a teenage girl faced with an unplanned pregnancy from an afternoon with the charmingly unassuming Bleeker (Michael Cera). Juno finds her unborn baby the perfect set of parents in Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), an affluent suburban couple who are eager to adopt. Along with the total support of her parents, (Allison Janney and J.K. Simmons) Juno conquers her problems head-on, displaying a youthful exuberance that is both smart and unexpected. The film was an official selection at this year’s Telluride, Toronto, and London film festivals and received the Best Film award at the Rome International Film Festival. The soundtrack to Juno mixes classic rock favorites with indie-rock gems. More from Juno soundtrack
