Summary: BETTER THAN IT HAS A RIGHT TO BE!
Comment: I tested this after not shaving my (very heavy) beard for three days, and it did amazingly well. 30 years ago I took the then current Braun battery-operated equivalent of this model with me to boot camp. Back then it was red (!) and included a mirror. I don't remember (big surprise) if it had a trimmer, but that would be the only thing it lacks.
Of course it was originally of German origin (and similar to the Ronson range), but now it's about as German made as any American or English product - MADE IN CHINA.
It's a great value at around $20, so travel with confidence, go to that meeting late in the day, on that hot date for which there's no time to go home after work..yup - it's a good 'un.
