Summary: Good Basic Program
Comment: I have owned 2 versions of this product and I love it. I love scrapbooking but was always frustrated with the time it took to cut and arrange and get the pictures the right size and of course buying ALL the product. But with this program, I can make a page in 30 minutes in the evening after the event I am scrapbooking. there are significant limitations to this program - it saves to its own file types which makes it hard to do anything with them. But it will save to a PDF which allows me to email them and print them at another location, so that is a redeeming factor. I wish I could search the backgrounds, embellishements, etc by type instead of having to search through the library to find what I want. But I usually find something different when I am searching so I personally don't mind that. The templates are very helpful and are fully adjustable to whatever I want. You are limited to what they have in their library or what you have on your computer (I often use my own photos for backgrounds) so that can be bummer. The longer I have used the program, the more options I find and the more I enjoy using it. I am sure there are more elaborate programs out there with more options. But this one is has a multitude of options and ideas that give an intermediate scrapper like me the ability to make MANY pages in a much shorter amount of time. I LOVE IT!

Summary: Love it!
Comment: I've had this software since February and have used it for so many projects. I designed my son's birth announcement, professional looking Christmas photo cards, and many scrapbook pages for my kids. Some of the graphics are admittedly cartoony, but there are so many other positives to mention. There are plenty of backgrounds to choose from, but you can also design your own once you become more familiar with the software. The templates are a good route to go when you start b/c they offer creative ways to showcase your pictures. I find that I don't usually like all the background/embellishment selections in the templates but all you have to do is double-click on what you don't like and either delete or replace. I also learned a lot about the capabilities of the software by seeing the types of designs the templates offered. If you feel limited by the papers or embellishments offered, there are plenty of on-line sites that offer free page kits, backgrounds etc. My favorite site is www.scrapbookflair.com.
Also, another reviewer mentioned not being able to print on other sites like Shutterfly. This is not true and can easily be done by exporting project as a JPG image (make sure to select 300 dpi and raise quality bar to highest level)
All in all, the creative uses of this software are endless and you'll be thrilled with the professional looking projects you come up with.
One thing to note is that their DVD software did not work in our DVD drive and we had to go through customer support to get replacements. I received them within a week.

Summary: Very good program
Comment: I have been using this program for a couple of weeks now and really like it. I am new to scrapbooking and this program is very easy to use and navigate. I'm the kind of person that I don't like to have to read directions. I want to just start creating and I was able to do that with this program. I have used some of the templates as well as using them for ideas. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because there are a few things I would change about it such as being able to see the change to a word when scolling thru the fonts instead of having to click on each one to see the change but that's not a huge issue.
I am now hooked on digital scrapping. I love it.

Summary: Average Scrapbooking Program
Comment: I have used this program for about a month now. The graphics are so-so and sometimes the program bogs down because of all of the large files it uses, but overall it is user friendly and accomplishes the task. There are a few things that I specifically don't like about it. One is that when you stretch an item to make it fit there is no option to retain the integrity of the design. The other is that when adding pages to a project, the more pages you add the slower the program works. I like that I can use my own graphics, but importing them into the program also takes time. I would really like a program where I could import everything I want to use in a tray or something and then transfer them easily to the project rather than having to go in and out of the project page everytime I want to add something. Even though it has its quirks, I would recommend this to anyone that is just learning to do digital scrapbooking. For the most part it works!

Summary: It's OK, it works
Comment: My main purpose for this product is creating high quality jpgs which this product does nicely. Just remember to go into "jpg options" in the Export function and increase the quality to 100%. I use my jpgs to make photobooks.
What it doesn't have is good layer support (it has some, but very limited).
It also has a bug with editing their graphics & embellishments that results in diagonal lines across the objects - so if you use their clip art, frames, borders, etc, don't try to edit them (don't change their color, but you can resize them). I've reported the bug & they said there's no fix yet. I noted one of the other reviewers here from April said they also reported the bug "4 months ago", so the bug has been known for quite a while.
One thing I'd like to see in this program is more support for custom templates. You can use their templates or you can create your own, but there's no good way to get your own custom-made template from one project into another. The only way to reuse it is to save it as its own project, then "Save As" to your new project name every time you want to reuse it. I'd like the ability to select my own template when I add a new page, but that feature is not available.
I'm going to give PhotoShop Elements a try and see if I like it better, but if not, this works.
