Summary: Good Concept, Flawed Execution
Comment: I purchased the Plantronics Voyager 815 based on other reviews I had read plus the brand name of Plantronics. Unfortunately, this model does not live up to its claims.
First, the earpiece on this device actually plugs your ear. The result of that is your ear is vacuum sealed and you cannot hear others from that side of your head. This is very inconvenient for conversations, etc.
The second problem is that many of my friends had problems hearing me. The telescoping mic boom was not effective either. Also, the mic boom would intermittently answer and end calls.
Finally, although the buttons worked, they were inconvenient to use. It was bothersome to answer and end phone calls with this device. After two weeks, I returned this product for a full refund.
I purchased the Plantronics 925 instead, and it met my expectations for this manufacturer. I would discourage everyone from purchasing the 815 and pay a little more for the 925. It's worth every penny.

Comment: I don't know, I can't get this thing to stay in my ear, no matter which ear bud fitting I use. Seems ok otherwise, but who can tell with it dropping out of my ear at the slightest movement.

You have to long-press the buttons to start or finish a call. It's not convenient. It's just not work as it should.
I gave it to a friend of mine who's not using voice dialing. It kind works for him but he is not very satisfied. Pity...

Comment: I saw this device and liked the features it promised (clear reception, extended microphone, special audio cleaning technology, unlimited chcolate cake, blah blah blah)
Well, I did some testing. I used a Nokia and a Samsung phone to test with. The Nokia has BT 1.3 and the Samsung has BT 2.0.
I liked the earbud, but all the sounds coming in were passable but the words would frequently fade in. (the audio cleaning a bit overzealous and there's no way to alter it.)
When testing the microphone, having it fully extended, resulted in a VERY tinny sounding voice.
Heed others' reviews, folks. This product is not good.
I came from a Plantronics 370, which is just about perfect. I expected the 815 to be rather better. It was not, nor did it really deliver on what it promised.
It is going back right away.
