Summary: Seems to be helping...
Comment: Apparently I developed a nasty case of tendonitis from paddling my kayaks - I seriously wondered whether I'd somehow gotten a "green fracture" because of the pain.

A trip to the doctor quickly dispelled this idea, and it was quickly diagnosed as tendonitis, and the doctor "prescribed" this device, to be worn "two fingers" above my elbow joint. Apparently it shifts the attachment point of the tendon that causes the pain of tendonitis.

Does it work? Well, I am wearing it during all my waking hours, not just during sports activity and it seems to be helping. If nothing else, it serves as a reminder to be careful with my left arm, and not to lift things with my palm down (this aggravates the tendon).

During paddling activities it definitely reduces pain, and allows me to paddle longer and more vigorously than before I began wearing it.

Some of the downsides are that it is a bit bulky to wear under a dress shirt, and the foam padding tends to get a bit stinky from sweat. I wash it about once a week, but it always has this funky odor that I can't get rid of (and I don't sweat that much). The other downside is that it can be tricky to get the right amount of tension - too tight and it cuts off circulation, too loose and it slides off the "sweet spot" where it does its work.

Overall, if you are suffering elbow pain related to any kind of "grasping" activity (fishing, tennis, raquet ball, paddling, etc.) it is definitely worth a try, combined with always remembering to lift objects with your affected hand in a "supine" position (palm up).

Summary: Leaves red marks
Comment: My "repetitive stress" elbow is improved after wearing it, but it does get uncomfortable after a while and leaves red marks on my elbow. If I adjust it with my elbow straight, it becomes uncomfortably tight when I bend my elbow and my muscles expand - there isn't any give in the strap they use.

I am presently using a neoprene strap type elbow support most often, as it expands during exertion rather than becoming a tourniquet.

Summary: Great for relieving the pain of tennis elbow
Comment: My physical therapist recommended this product to me for my tennis elbow, and I've worn it for several days now. It's very comfortable, does not act as a tourniquet or otherwise cut off blood supply--even if you have large arms--and you really forget you're wearing it. More importantly, you forget the pain that you've been feeling, because it eases it considerably. I'm still not 100% sure how the thing works, but it does.

Summary: Keeps Tennis Elbow in Check
Comment: I have tennis elbow from too much computing (like writing this review). I have tried other bands, but this one, with it's design, has been most effective in preventing further inflammation. One defect is that if you sweat in your forearms, especially while playing tennis, the bands can slip, requiring readjusting.

Summary: Better than anything else I've found.
Comment: Better than anything else I've found. The hard plastic cups are MUCH better than the cloth ones and give FORCE where you need it. Yes it leaves marks on your arm for a few minutes after you take it off but it is worth it. And you can wash it off if it gets dirty. I recommend it.

* Medically designed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Donald Fareed * Allows normal circulation and blood flow * Strategically placed pressure points provide maximum support * Relieves tennis elbow, and other forms of forearm and wrist pain * 2" wide * One size fits most
