Summary: Not helpful
Comment: I should have been the perfect customer for this product. I have 2 bars in my apartment, wanting a little better signal. It is easy to use and setup, however it simply never improved the signal. Disappointing. I returned it.

Summary: it really does work
Comment: I was skeptical about purchasing this product due to the bad reviews. It does work...at least for our business. It gives me a couple extra bars so that i'm not dropping calls all the time, however, I only take call in one spot and it works great for that. Its worth a try, I looked at all my options and this seemed to be the most economical.

Summary: Don't bother
Comment: I bought this thinking it would allow me to use the 2-3 bar signal i get by standing by the window and allow me to move throughout my room. I found out within 10 minutes of setting this pile that it was worthless. When i actually could get the device to work it only gave me one bar. and my phone had to be within 6 inches of the antenna. within 15 minutes it wouln't even signal connect anymore. Don't waste your money. You might as well make your own out of foil.

Summary: great idea but...
Comment: I really had great hopes for this unit since I have poor reception in my house. It simply did not work for me -- I got the same signal strength with or without the unit on.

It's going back to Amazon and I would like to note that I am pleased with their very prompt attention to my request to return the product.

Summary: If you have Verizon...
Comment: I figured I was taking a gamble buying this when I read the reviews, and it turns out it didn't do anything to improve my reception over something else I did the same day I bought this online (unfortunately AFTER I already bought it): If you have Verizon, every so often you're supposed to update your phone by dialing *228, then choosing option 2 (you chose option 1 when you first got your phone, to program it). This updates the phone to any changes Verizon has made, like new towers, or whatever else they do to improve reception. I hadn't done it in a year, although I think they advise doing it monthly, and voila!, I could actually make and receive calls from inside my apartment again! Once I got the wireless extender in the mail, I didn't get any further improvement, and the phone is working well enough now that I don't feel the need to upgrade to the more expensive extender.
