Customer Rating: Summary: Sweet Ride!!!! Comment: These are great shoes!!! I was running 20 miles a week on some older Gel Kayano's and struggling with shin discomfort. These shoes were a sure fix. I can now run 6.5 miles a day with no problem....other than my times. Great control and light weight. Tremendous value, might even make these my mainstay shoes.
Customer Rating: Summary: Superb Running Shoe! Comment: I decided to run the Paris marathon last April with those rather than my Gel Kayanos (with which I ran the Athens marathon last November), and they were a revelation. I wasn't sure the cushioning would be enough over 26 miles, but it was. I set a new PR. Then I set a new PR over half-marathon distance with the same shoes two weeks later.
I love the combination of comfort, light weight, springiness, and sufficent cushioning. A fantastic shoe. I'm buying a new pair.
For reference, I weigh 170 lbs. I'm not sure this shoe would work as well for those over 180/190 at marathon distance, but in any event it should work for most people for half-marathon or less.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing Comment: So, I'm one of those runners that's picky about shoes. Really picky. It takes me months to be sold on a new pair, and once I find one that I like I stick with it.
I used to be a firm believer in the Adidas Boston Classics, but they got the cold shoulder from Adidas, so I had to find something new. These are it.
My little sister is one of the fastest high schoolers in the state (yes, I'm proud that she's faster than your little sister) and works at a running store, and this is her choice. (She didn't tell me until I had finally picked out the shoes that they are what she wears too, so my selection wasn't influenced by that.)
I have a normal stride - no big problems. So if you do have any "special needs" this may not be for you. Also, I weigh 128 pounds, so I like a lighter shoe, which these are and I'm not sure how they would hold up for someone who weighs more than me.
But if you are a fairly light (in weight) runner and don't have any really particular needs, these are highly recommended.
Oh, and my favorite race is the 5mile or 10K, so I use them for fairly long but not marathon runs, although I'm sure they would be fine for marathons as well.
Customer Rating: Summary: great training shoes ! Comment: This shoe is what i have been looking for throughout.
It offers cushioning, support but besides that is also is a very direct shoe, very effective for training fatsre tempo's.
The only thing i didn't know is that this model needs to be bought a whole size bigger than what i normally wear. But knowing that, i can recommend this shoe to any ambitious runner...

Sturdy and responsive, this lightweight trainer has a bold new look for 2007. ASICS® Space Trusstic System® means more efficient foot function, a Biomorphic Fit Upper creates superior fit, and a new Solyte ® midsole makes this the lightest version of the DS series ever.
