Customer Rating: Summary: Plantronics MX256-X1 review Comment: this product looks good on paper and it probably will work well, if it fits your ear properly. I have used ear-hook sets before, and was very pleased with an older ear-hook unit from Plantronics - but this one surprised me a little, having difficulty inserting over/in my ear. I will have to practice a little more but so far it is not working as quickly or simply as the older plantronics unit I had (which failed, requiring replacement). Customer Rating: Summary: Barely audible Comment: I wanted a wired headset because all the bluetooth headsets I tried with my iPhone proved unreliable. That's probably more a problem with the iPhone than the headsets.s The design of the Plantronics is attractive but it is barely loud enough to be heard in the house, let alone in a car. The headset that came with the iPhone must be 4 or 5 time louder. It is difficult to believe that this is the best a company with a reputation like Plantronics could do. Customer Rating: Summary: Incompatible with LG phone? Very poor sound quality. Comment: Seems that my LG CU500 thinks this is not a headset, as it gives a different graphic for this vs. other headsets when plugged in. I could hear others well, but they could barely hear me. Not just bad quality sound, but totally unusable. Speakerphone works better, and my 10 year old headset that shipped with my Panasonic cordless phone (that's a landline phone, folks) has stepped in for car duty.
