Summary: GREAT LITTLE MACHINE
Comment: Pulled it out of the box and thought that it was too small for my 4 bedroom. Set up was easy and to my surprise, it did a great job. The floor gets a little too wet and I thought that there must be soil left in the water on the floor, so I performed the paper towel test, it was wet, but clean. So far my best buy this year. A two hour cleaning job just turned into a 45-minute job. YIPPIEEE!!!!!

Comment: I used my Steamboy for the first time yesterday and was very pleased with the results. I had done quite of bit of research before the purchase so think that I made a good decision. I have dark colored tile floors and most cleaning products leave a dull looking floor. With just the steam the floors are shiny and clean. I liked it so much I just purchased one for a gift for my son. I gave it four stars because of the short cord. I usually use an extension cord on my vacuum so it really doesn't bother me. But it might for some people. I found it easy to use and a real time saver.

Comment: This product is difficult to put together and is very hard to push around to clean a floor. In order to make it easier to use you have to use a lot of water and it takes forever to dry. No instructions on how to use on a carpet even though there is a "carpet attachment". Would never use on a carpet because of the water needed. Very disappointed in this product.

Comment: The idea of a steam mop intrigued me because I was tired of buckets of dirty water and sponge mops. I borrowed a friend's Bissell but was not impressed by how much water it left on the floor or how bulky it was (I have a small kitchen and bath). So I read the reviews and decided to try the Reliable Steamboy. I really liked the triangular head for getting into corners. The Steamboy worked as promised, but still doesn't come close to drying immediately - more like five to ten minutes. I put down a kitchen towel and ran it over the floor to dry it faster. In any case, if you stop and think about it what you have is steam coming through an absorbant pad, so of course the pad is going to get wet and stay wet. So you are pushing a wet pad over your floor. Not rocket science. The other issue I found was since I didn't want to wash the pad with my clothes or towels,I either had to put the used pad somewhere to dry until I had more cleaning cloths to wash or use a tub of water just to wash the pad. I did purchase extra pads which I highly recommend. Be sure to sweep the floor first, or you will wind up with little blobs of wet dust. All in all I am satisfied with the Steamboy. It does clean and is more convenient than a sponge mop. Read the directions and make sure the water container is on tightly or it will leak. I don't think I'll try it on my hardwood floors though.

Summary: Quick, Efficient and Easy
Comment: I bought this product a few months back at Kohl's and am thinking about purchasing for my mom for Christmas. I never had to read the instructions as it is fairly intuitive. It's basically like an iron...has a heating element that heats the water. It is environmentally clean, easy to use and you can use it anywhere...I have a big painted front porch and I just used it yesterday to steam clean the porch floor before putting up Christmas decorations. I don't have to worry about getting the pad dirty, because I can just throw it in the wash with bleach and my whites and it comes perfectly clean. For those who are having problems, the only thing I can say is you must be pressing the release button too much. I only press once, wait for the steam and go. It works like a charm on my wood floors, tile, etc. Better than yucky mops and wringing out constantly.
