Summary: Worst rink ever!
Comment: 1) One time use only~bad deal for the money. I would have liked to know that upfront
2) almost impossible to fill, without easily ripping, which kills the one use ..
3) expensive for something that NEVER worked correctly. We never could make it work.
Great idea in theory, bad and expensive in practice. I do not recommend this product!

Summary: Smaller than expected, uneven if land not 100% flat
Comment: This bag measures approximately 15'x 19', small for a decent size ice rink. My thought is if you are going to the trouble of wanting an ice rink, you want it to be a decent size. Now mind you, if you want to just get your little ones out on ice for 1st time and teach them to skate, this is perfect. However, if your land is even the slightest unlevel, when the water freezes in this bag, it will be slightly uneven. My problem wasn't my land, it was my grass was too tall in certain areas and it made it slope too much at one end thus creating a thick piece of ice at one end and not thick enough at the other. You fill this bag with water by the way, then once frozen you cut the bag. It is a ONE-TIME USE only deal. If you get a warm spell, your ice will melt and you're out of an ice rink, very sad for littles ones to watch, so I wouldn't recommend this item AT ALL!. I went out and bought the EZ Rink, which was better, but you still need to build it on level land (or flat grass). At least this one you can tell as you're filling it if your land isn't level by the water pooling there. This one has a liner with PVC border and blue covers so if ice melts, it stays within the border and refreezes that night if temps dip. One tip when using this one though, keep the blue PVC covers in the house, near fireplace or warm heat so they don't get cold and hard (hard to open up and clamp onto PVC pipe if they're cold and stiff - figured this one out the hard way, sore fingers later from prying blue covers apart at seams. Check your hose also to make sure where you put this, that the hose reaches and that your hoses aren't frozen like mine were. Dumb I know, but who'd have figured, this was the first few days of freezing temps we've had. Other than that I'd give the EZ Rink a 4 star for cost, ease of use, set up and aside from my blunders, it would have been okay. I now have to adjust using bigger pieces of styrofoam to prop up one end of the rink so water doesn't overflow there on fill up. It really does take about 4 days to have the ice completely solid. Another tip, before filling the liner with water, get yourself a waterproof thick marker and have anyone that help set up the rink with you sign their name in big letters. It really does show through when the ice is frozen since it's not that thick, it's clear not white ice..so cool - my kids loved seeing their name imbedded in the ice.

Summary: Need more product information
Comment: most of the products that I have been looking at have dimensions but this none does not. hard to compare to other products without the size.

Editorial Reviews:

Just fill it up, let it freeze, and you're ready to skate! This backyard ice rink kit is made of sturdy, fully enclosed flexible polyethylene in the shape of a rink, designed to hold 2-3 inches of water in place until the water freezes solid. Then its top layer simply peels of to reveal the smooth skating surface. The water is completely contained until frozen, so there's no runoff and no need for repeated flooding to build up a base. Spray lightly from time to time to keep the surface smooth. Creates a 10 ft by 20 ft ice surface.
