UNDERGROUND SUBMISSION WRESTLING 1 features 4 full contact submission wrestling training sessions between Lawrence Grecco and John Schmidt. Both grapplers have some formal training in jiu jitsu and catch wrestling, so you will witness some classic finishing holds like key locks and triangle chokes. However, the fights on this DVD are more raw and intense than a typical sparring session: body strikes (with and without gloves), neck cranks, elbow and knee blows are all fair game here. This DVD is about an hour in length. It was originally made for private training purposes only but is now available to fight fans because of the intense and raw quality of the matches. There are no time limits to the bouts, no rules, and no referee is present at any time. The training sessions were all shot with a stationary digital video camera. The fighting is completely unstaged and a bout ends only when there is a submission.
