Summary: Long Time User, Still Pleased
Comment: I have been using this product for about 2 years now. I think it's great. It has a sweet-ish lemony smell but more sophisticated. It gets the hold without the shine which I want.
My hair is usually a fuzz ball when short and flat & lame when long. This product lets me give my hair some more character; I can rustle it up or calm it down whenever during the day. The great thing is that people don't realize I'm using a product until they touch my hair.
Another cool thing about this product is that you can use it in our hair with varying wetnesses. If you're hair is damp when you apply, it's easier to apply but the hold will be a looser one throughout the day. I need a strong hold so i usually put it in when my hair is only very slightly damp. (Applying when your hair is completely dry is a little tough because it sticks to your hair and while you apply, its like you're pulling on your hair and it can hurt)
On suggestion is to make sure its completely integrated into the hair. Especially when you use this product with damp hair, it takes some attention to make sure there aren't little chunks of American Crew Fiber siting in your hair.

Comment: I gave this product a shot about an hour ago, and was not at all pleased with the results.
First of all - the creme has a strong smell and is not necessarily the most pleasant. Secondly, you should use this product if you want to have a spiked/hair standing up sort of look. My hair usually curls when I use gel/putty, but with this it adopted a strange, angled, straighter look. Did not leave my hair looking like anything of good quality. Not terribly difficult to wash out, but not a straight shot either. Shampooed once and rinsed with warm water only to feel some residue still on my hair.
On the other hand, I tried American Crew's alcohol-free styling gel - now that stuff is good. Feels light on your head b/c of the lack of alcohol (and whatever else is in it).. smells very pleasant and with an appropriate odor strength, and leaves your hair looking good - with decent hold and shine - whether you comb forward or backward.

Summary: great but needs just the right hair moisture
Comment: I've used 2 containers and this stuff is great. I have very thick hair so I needed something strong but didn't want the pine straw hard feel that so many other products left me with. As my title says though, you have to learn to get the wetness of your hair just right before applying this stuff as it CAN get too hard if your hair is too wet. If it's too dry, it won't hold like some guys want their hair. I've gotten to the point where after I shower, I'll towel dry my hair then get dressed and THEN apply the product as letting the hair air dry just a bit more after towel drying seems to let a little more moisture out of the hair and really gets the "just right" matte look. I've tried several other products and this one is hands down the best for the money and is easy to find.

Summary: Excellent hold and no gloss
Comment: I am a big fan of this product. My hair is very strong. It needs a product which can keep it tamed. However, most products that have that level of strength also come with high sheen or gloss which, in my opinion, is a bad look for today's fashions. The matte look is more flexible. American Crew Fiber gives me pliability and a matte look with a very strong hold. It also smells nice.... not to strong and not too girly.

Comment: I have been using this product for over 5 years as an alternative to gel or bed head. The results are great. No unwated shine, no gooiness, very easy to wash off.
Your hair wont feel stiff and wont get damaged. Reasonably priced and more available every day.

The perfect product for molding or sculpting hair (and re-sculpting if needed throughout the day). Can give you a funky style without much effort. Provides a matte finish.
