Summary: Excellent product
Comment: I like that this time release product. I had problems with taking regular niacin. This product comes in different strengths (250mg and up) and it can be broken which facilitates "ramping up" the dosage gradually over several days which eliminates flushing. I take it in the morning with a no-fat snack (like a banana) and wait 90 minutes before eating anything that has fat in it and I do not have any flushing. After 90 minutes I can eat anything. Alternatively I can take an aspirin, wait 30 minutes before taking slo-niacin, and then take the niacin and not have flushing.

Comment: Have been taking this per my MD for over one month and have only rarely flushed or itched. Seems to happen only when I eat a small snack. Lab report due any day as to how/if it improves my triglycerides and HDL levels.

Comment: I take this product to increase my HDL ("good" cholesterol) and I also HAD high tryiglycerides.
I take this pill before bed (just in case there would be side effects, like flushing, I would not be aware of it).
My blood work (for cholesterol) is normal and I have no complaints whatsoever. I would recommend this product to anyone whose doctor recommended taking Niacin.

Comment: Product was ordered on 1/3/06. I was notified of a delivery date of 2/6 to 2/22/06. I was notified by you it was shipped to me on 2/13. I received it a few days later. Why did it take well over 30 days before it was shipped? I've ordered same before and it was shipped relatively promptly, just like all the other items I've ordered from you. NOTE: i FILLED IN THE RATING BECAUSE i HAD TO. IN FACT RATING IS NOT APPLICABLE IN THIS INSTANCE.

Comment: This was prescribed by my physician and is the same product I was buying at a local drugstore. Ordering on-line is more convenient and less expensive.
