These fares will be customized to the DING! subscriber and will only be available Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT, so Customers must act fast.
DING! is the first-ever "direct link" to Customers' computer desktops,
delivering discounted fares to a variety of Southwest destinations. To take

The following are samples of the
special DING! airfares:
* $23 one-way fares are
available between Las Vegas and Ontario, between Chicago and Pittsburgh, and
between Dallas and Tulsa.
* $34 one-way fares are
available between Chicago and Orlando, between Chicago and Tampa, and between
Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood.
* $43 one-way
fares are available between Baltimore/Washington and Little Rock, between
Philadelphia and Orlando, and between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and
Philadelphia.
* $69 one-way fares are available
between San Antonio and Tampa, between New Orleans and Philadelphia, and between
Austin and Chicago.
* $90 one-way fares are
available between Las Vegas and Tampa, between Austin and Baltimore/Washington,
and between Los Angeles and Orlando.
* $94 one-way
fares are available between Nashville and Tampa, between Detroit and Little
Rock, and between Albany and Orlando.
"Since the initial introduction of
our DING! product, we've made some enhancements," Krone said. "For example,
today's DING! sale will be customized to the user's home airport -- saving them
time and making their trip easier to book."
The
one-millionth Customer to download DING! was in Los Angeles, one of the top
cities in Southwest's system to download DING! Other top cities to download
DING! are Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Houston, Oakland, and Phoenix. The
popularity of DING! is evident: Customers have booked more than $30 million in
DING! fares since its introduction in February 2005. That equates to more than
$1 million in DING! bookings each week.
The
fares are available for purchase today from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT through the
DING! application only, and are valid for travel from Sept. 1, 2005 through Oct.
31, 2005. Fares are available one-way and are combinable with all other fares.
When combining fares, all ticketing restrictions apply. Seats are limited. Fares
may vary by flight and day of week and will not be available on some flights
that operate during very busy travel times. Fares do not include a $3.20 federal
segment tax per takeoff and landing. Fares do not include airport-assessed
passenger facility charges (PFC) of up to $9 one-way and U.S. government-imposed
September 11th Security Fees of up to $5 one-way. Fares are subject to change
until ticketed. Tickets are nonrefundable but may be applied toward the purchase
of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are valid on Southwest-operated
published, scheduled service only and are not available through the Group Desk.
Any change in itinerary may result in an increase in fare. Fares are not
necessarily common rated in the Bay Area or the Los Angeles Basin. Orange
County's John Wayne Airport is not included in this special DING!
