North Brunswick, NJ (PRWEB) September 10, 2005 -- Brunswick Automotive
Professionals, Mobility Division (BAMP) announces 2nd Annual Mobility Customer
Appreciation Day and Open House. The two day event will take place on Friday,
September 16, and Saturday, Saturday, September 17 from 10 AM to 5 PM, rain or
shine, at 1490 Route 1 North in North Brunswick, NJ.
“Our mobility
business was started almost 25 years ago in an effort to assist our physically
challenged automotive customers,” said Robert Schickler co-owner of BAMP with
his brother Leonard. “Through the years, the handicap vehicle business has
changed quite dramatically…not only with the convergence of dealerships…but with
the breadth of products available to customers. Today, businesses are more apt
to rush a customer through the buying process in order to close the sale and
move on to the next customer. It’s a production line approach to selling.
However, we continue to take a traditional and family oriented approach to our
business by taking the time to acknowledge and value each and every person that
comes through our door. Whether it’s a customer or someone just looking for
information, we welcome everyone. From the beginning, customer appreciation has
always been and will always be our top priority.”
Leonard Schickler
added, “Holding an annual Customer Appreciation Day and Open House is just one
of the ways we thank our customers and associates for doing business with us.
However, our Open House is not just for our customers and business associates.
Everyone is welcome to stop by, enjoy some refreshments and get acquainted with
our staff and facility. So whether you’re looking for information about mobility
equipment or just beginning the accessible or adapted vehicle research process,
we look forward to meeting you. Our mobility specialists will be on hand to
answer any questions and provide information. We will also have a complete
inventory of new and used wheelchair accessible vehicles to see or take for a
test drive.”
To assist folks looking for information on creating
handicap accessible surroundings in their home as well as in commercial
facilities and public buildings, John and Patrick Sherwood of Accessibility
Design Associates (ADA) will also be available to answer questions. “As a young
man, my father John was paralyzed in an automobile accident,” said Patrick
Sherwood, President of ADA. “This tragedy led us down a path we may not have
otherwise followed. In personally making things easier and more accessible for
my father, I learned what incredible difference independence makes with one’s
quality of life. ADA recently built my father's accessible home, complete with
elevator, ramp, and accessible bathroom. Being that my father is not only the
founder but also an employee of ADA, having that accessibility has given him the
freedom to come to work every day.”
There will be a random drawing for a
