Texas Association for Indoor Air Quality (TAIAQ) Announces Merger with Environmental Education Foundation (EEF)
Merger creates the largest and only charity dealing with indoor air quality and mold related issues.
Washington, DC & Austin, TX (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) April 21, 2005 -- The Texas
Association for Indoor Air Quality (TAIAQ) announced today the merger of its
membership into the worlds largest environmental charity focusing on
environmental, health and safety issues. This merger will pave the way for the
hundreds of professional members of TAIAQ to provide a new depth and breadth to
the EEF's existing membership base of over 5,500.
Past President of TAIAQ
and existing EEF member, Mr. Greg Becker, RIAQM of Becker Engineering, applauds
the organizations decision to merge with the EEF as "a major step forward in the
servicing and recognition for our members." Mr. Becker continued, "This merger
was a natural fit for both groups, it will benefit existing TAIAQ members and
EEF members alike."
The EEF is recognized globally as the leader in
Indoor Air Quality and Mold related issues and now with the addition of the
largest and most acclaimed membership in Texas IAQ, the combined strength and
knowledge base is second to none.
The merger of TAIAQ into the EEF is to
be fully complete within a few short months. TAIAQ board of directors will be
taking key strategic rolls in the EEF, including committee chair positions and
selected appointments to various Federal and State agency committees the EEF
enjoys.
Richard Bates, EEF President, echoed Mr. Beckers enthusiasm by
adding, "The TAIAQ, not unlike many other organizations with memberships ranging
from 200 to 2,000, possess a deep domain knowledge represented by its membership
who are leaders in their respective industries. The EEF has become home to many
such organizations over our 17 year history and we welcome, with great
anticipation and open arms, the active participation of the TAIAQ
members."
Troy E. Johnson, EEF Executive Director and architect of the
merger, said, "I am honored the TAIAQ has decided to join us With a number of
other, quality IAQ associations struggling to stay alive in today's economy, the
EEF makes the best opportunity for the members to grow and be part of a
thriving, established and well connected organization. I can't wait to tap into
the knowledge base of the TAIAQ and share it through out our entire
membership."
