Online Petition Created to Oppose North Carolina House Bill 1183- A Bill that Will Grant Instate Tuition Rates to Illegal Immigrants
Alan Teitleman, a webblogger and political consultant from Monroe, NC announces the creation of an online petition to oppose NC HB1183.
(PRWEB) May 3, 2005 -- Alan Teitleman announces a new online petition for
residents of North Carolina and across the country to show their distaste for NC
House Bill 1183 and similar pieces of legislation that grant illegal immigrants
benefits that citizens do not get.
The petition is located at:

Mr. Teitleman stresses that this
is not an issue of racism or hatred, but a matter of
economics.
"Regardless of whether an illegal immigrant has a college
degree or not, they are still illegal and unless the laws have changed, they can
not obtain lawful employment once they graduate".
"The United States
Government has a responsibility and obligation to those of us who are here
legally. I myself come from Italian immigrants. However, my family came here
legally and followed the proper procedures. I can not see one intelligent
rationale to allow the illegal immigrants of 2005 to not only not be punished,
but instead rewarded for their actions. House Bill 1183 does just that. It
rewards illegal immigrants for coming here and breaking our laws".
