Marissa Levin, President and CEO of the Strategic Management
Communications firm Information Experts, was the keynote speaker at the ITT
Technical Institute last Wednesday, August 25, 2005 at the organization’s first
Annual Inaugural Breakfast held at ITT’s Headquarters’ in Chantilly, Virginia.
Marissa is at the helm of Information Experts, an, 8(A) Certified, small,
woman-owned organization working in Marketing Communications and eLearning
Strategies in the Commercial and Government arenas.
Ms. Levin, a longtime
supporter of women in technology, is also on the Women in Technology Board of
Advisors for the ITT Technical Institute. Before the breakfast of several dozen
women and men from the government, business and academic fields, Marissa spoke
of strengths that women have as entrepreneurs, and how all women in business
must strive for a work and home life of equal parts of challenging tasks in our
work and a good home life. To go to, or talk to the audience with statistics
from the Center from Women’s Business Research and the National Council of
Women’s Organizations as well as her own example. Through her own life the
balance of being a successful business entrepreneur, wife and mother of two,
while always making it a priority of making a difference in others lives as a
mentor. Marissa lives life day-to-day as an excellent and powerful role model
for all women business owners.
Many people who know Marissa know of this
balance, and the good works that she has done for others in business. “Anyone
who knows Marissa knows she is devoted to the passion of sharing of herself. One
of the most gratifying and fulfilling components of Marissa’s leadership and
personality is her heartfelt desire to give back to the community, to share her
experiences with others, and to help other current and future women business
leaders be successful at running a business on a day to day business and just as
they are successful raising a family”, explained Maureen Siegmund of ITT-Tech .

Marissa Levin is also a Judge in the Annual Business Plan Competition
conducted by the Women's Business Center of Northern Virginia. She has also
donated Information Experts services as winners' prizes. Another example is
Marissa’s dedication to the Women in Technology’s Mentor-Protégé Program. She is
well known as a reliable and informative contributor in this program. As a
dedicated mentor, she served on the Mentor-Protégé subcommittee and her company,
Information Experts, underwrites the Program. Marissa (and Information Experts)
also supports Girls in Technology through sponsorships and various volunteer
opportunities.
She participates in several interest groups through Women
in Technology (WIT), the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO),

Network, the Women's President's Organization (WPO), the E-Learning. Advisory
Council of the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA), and The
American Council for Technology (ACT).

communication "change management" Ms. Levin, a finalist for the 2002 Ernst &
Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and for the 2004 Women in Technology
Entrepreneur Leadership Award, has grown Information Experts steadily since its

from $19K to a forecast of just under $10 million. Marissa has also been
