Portland, OR (PRWEB) May 29, 2005 -- VeriLAN, Inc., has created a secure
global IP network that interconnects the labs of China Telecom, NTT
Laboratories, Verizon, AT&T, Deutsche Telekom and Telecom Italia. The
network will allow the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) member companies to
demonstrate a multi-carrier Ethernet service across a SONET/SDH multi-vendor
environment. A public demonstration of the testing will take place at SUPERCOMM
2005, June 7-9, in Chicago.

largest telecom companies to perform interoperability tests across the
network.”
Hans-Martin Foisel of Deutsche Telekom and OIF Carrier Working
Group Chair, stated, “The IP network provided by VeriLAN builds the basis of the
globally distributed OIF interoperability demonstration 2005. It enables the
participation of carrier labs from three continents, Asia, North America and
Europe and supports the close cooperation of system vendors and carriers on a
global scale.”
Morgan Sackett Sr. Network Engineer for VeriLAN, stated,
“This network represents the beginning of a new era in telecommunications.
Enabling world carriers to work together to reach a common goal will reap
benefits for consumers in the very near future.”
