Englewood, CO (PRWEB) June 3, 2005 -- Baxa Corporation is sponsoring a
bicycle racing team for the 16th annual Courage Classic ride to raise money for
The Children’s Hospital of Denver. Baxa will provide financial support for the
team, along with jerseys and riders. Team captain Jerrod Milton, Director of
Campus Transition and Occupancy for the hospital’s new Fitzsimons facility, will
lead 35 riders for Team Road Rage, including Baxa executives and
associates.
One of Colorado’s premiere cycling events, the Courage
Classic is a three-day, 157- to 203-mile adventure in Colorado’s high country
from Leadville to Summit County and back. From July 16th to 18th, cyclists of
all ages and abilities will experience the challenge of mountain riding while
supporting this important cause. The 2005 fundraising goal for Team Road Rage is
$25,000.00.
Not all of the Courage Classic fundraising efforts involve
strenuous bike riding, however. Team supporters can raise money by participating
in a dinner fundraiser June 8th at the Littleton Texas Roadhouse near Kipling
and C-470. From 4:00 to 10:00 PM that evening, for every guest who mentions Team
Road Rage the restaurant will donate 10% of their total bill towards the team
goal.
Baxa Chairman and CEO, Greg Baldwin, rode in the 2004 Courage
Classic and joins Team Road Rage again this year. “This is great event to give
back to our community while having some fun with colleagues and friends,” he
notes. “Baxa is delighted to be both a supporter and a participant in this
fundraiser and I encourage all of our associates to ride, pledge or dine in
support of The Children’s Hospital.”
