Lt. General Frank Libutti, USMC (Ret.), Joins the Board of Directors of 3D Global Solutions
Retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Frank Libutti has joined the Board of Directors of 3D Global Solutions, an Indiana-based service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOB) that specializes in the recruitment of retired military veterans for careers in information technology and physical security.

Libutti has joined the Board of Directors of 3D Global Solutions, an
Indiana-based service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOB) that
specializes in the recruitment of retired military veterans for careers in
information technology and physical security.
Lt. Gen. Libutti’s
distinguished military career began following his graduation from The Citadel in
1966. After attending the Marine Corps’ Officer Candidate Course in August of
same year, he received his commission and then served as an infantry platoon
commander in Vietnam. Later he was assigned roles as instructor, infantry
company commander, logistics officer, and senior aide to the Commandant of the
Marine Corps.
From August 1985 until June 1986, Lt. Gen. Libutti attended
the National War College, Washington, D.C., and in 1990, he was assigned to the
Office of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, for duty as the Marine Corps
Member of the Chairman's Staff Group.
His last assignment before retiring
from the Marine Corps in 2001 was as Commanding General, U.S. Marine Forces
Pacific and Commanding General, Marine Forces Central Command. In this capacity
he was responsible for maintaining force readiness in support of war plan and
contingency operations in the Asia-Pacific region and the Arabian Gulf. His
duties included leading and executing large-scale humanitarian relief operations
to Somalia and Kenya and the oversight of Marine Corps bases from Southern
California to Hawaii, and from to South Korea to Japan.
Following his
retirement from the Marine Corps, Lt.Gen. Libutti served as the New York City
Police Department's first Deputy Commissioner of Counter-Terrorism from 2002 to
2003, and then as the first Under Secretary for Information Analysis and
Infrastructure Protection Directorate at the U.S. Department of Homeland
Security from 2003 to 2005.
Currently, Lt.Gen. Libutti is a consultant
and advisor to a number of private corporations including DynCorp International
and McNeil Security, as well as the United Nations World Food Program based in
Rome, Italy. He also serves on the board of directors of CSI Combined Systems
and Digital Fusion Solutions. He is also a highly sought-after and charismatic
speaker who addresses audiences on topics including national security,
counter-terrorism, leadership, management, and strategic vision for start-up
organizations.
