California State Senator Kuehl In Trouble With Father

Name an actor turned California politician? No, not Arnold. It's Sheila James Kuehl, state senator from the 23rd district and for the first time in fifty years she's in trouble with father.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 28 2004--Before she played television's original stalker Zelda Gilroy in The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis, popular California state senator Sheila James Kuehl portrayed the pigtailed preteen Jackie in an early fifties sitcom called Trouble with Father starring Stu Erwin.

Unseen on broadcast television for over fifty years, the show has been given new life by ad agency AdverTelevision® Services.

Starting January 28th it will be aired in Metro LA on AdverTelevision TV, 10:00AM Wednesdays, Adelphia cable Ch. 95.

This early fifties sitcom originally titled Life With The Erwins gives a snapshot of early television and its portrayal of our society and culture at that time.

Dailey Pike, the mind behind AdverTelevision TV had this to say,"Senator Kuehl was a total professional even at the age of nine. Her character Jackie was a parent's delight. Bright, engaging, respectful, the same qualities she exhibits in her political life today."

"The precocious Jackie was also quite the mediator, often playing diminutive referee to her TV parents. She was far ahead of her time as the archetypal sitcom family "team" player deeply concerned and involved in all decisions. The mythical Erwin family often held caucuses and took votes on issues that affected them as a group. Fifty years later Senator Kuehl is doing the same thing in real life."

Pike continued, "One of the concepts of AdverTelevision® TV is the revival of classic comedy television shows. It's of great value to see ourselves as we were in the past. Have we changed? How much have we changed? As Socrates said, 'A life unexamined isn't worth living'."

"One oddity about Trouble With Father is that the show wasn't shot in front of a live audience or enhanced with canned laughter. So it was up to the individual viewer to decide without influence whether something was funny. Unlike the shows today beefed up on steroid fed laugh tracks."

Trouble With Father is one in a series of long unseen classic sitcoms presented by AdverTelevision® TV http://AdverTelevision.com and sponsored by Advisors Lending Group, the Los Angeles based mortgage brokerage and real estate finance specialist.
