Mike Beaudreau Receives Two Additional Endorsements in Gwinnett County Commission Race
Gwinnett Commission Candidate Mike Beaudreau received the endorsement of the Gwinnett Professional Firefighters Association and Planning Commission member Chuck Warbington.
Lawrenceville, GA (PRWEB) July 26, 2004 -- The Gwinnett Professional
Firefighters Association today endorsed Mike Beaudreau for the Gwinnett County
Commission Third District seat. Beaudreau also received the endorsement of Third
District Planning Commissioner Chuck Warbington.
Firefighters Association
President Scott Chiles noted Beaudreau's commitment to public safety in the
announcement. "Every time our group met with Mike, he appeared well informed on
public safety issues. We feel that he will bring a breath of fresh air to the
County Commission. He is the candidate that will best represent homeowners'
interests, and is the best man for the job."
Commissioner Warbington
said, "I am pleased to endorse Mike for the County Commissioner in the Third
District. Making decisions on zoning and land use are a big part of a
commissioner's job. As a graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission Community
Planning Academy, he has an excellent background for deciding quality of life
issues."
Beaudreau commented, "I welcome the support of the Firefighters
Association. Firefighters have a difficult job, and if elected, I want to make
sure they have the resources needed to properly protect Gwinnett
citizens."
He further noted, "Commissioner Warbington's endorsement adds
to the growing number of present and former planning commissioners supporting my
campaign. All of these individuals recognize the need for a county commissioner
that will be open minded and fair to homeowners when making land use
decisions."
The two endorsements are the latest in the growing number of
individuals and groups backing Beaudreau. He has also been endorsed by the
Gwinnett Group of the Sierra Club, Loganville City Council member Sara Bacon,
Snellville Planning Commissioner John Desselle, the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution, former Gwinnett Planning Commissioner Teresa Cantrell, and
other community leaders.
