Bo Derek’s Latest Film Released By the National Horse Protection Coalition
A ten-minute video narrated by Bo Derek illustrating the special place that horses have in American history and American hearts has been produced by Dan Molina for the NHPC and is available for use.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 1, 2004--Spokespersons for the National Horse
Protection Coalition (NHPC), actress Bo Derek and Kentucky Derby winning
trainer, Nick Zito are featured in the NHPC’s new documentary on the American
Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. The ten-minute video is narrated by Bo Derek and
illustrates the graphic facts about horse slaughter, humane alternatives, and
the special place that horses have in American History and American
Hearts.
The writer and producer of the film is former NBC News
correspondent Dan Molina. Stunning shots of Bo Derek with her horses and
stirring music form the backdrop for the informative script. Filmed in
California, Texas, Kentucky, and Washington DC the film captures the hopes of
Americans everywhere that horse slaughter for human consumption will soon be
illegal in the United States. The film underscores the importance of speedy
passage of the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act (H.R. 857 and S.
2352).
The National Horse Protection Coalition is a diverse collection of
organizations and individuals from the horse industry, veterinary field, humane
community, equine rescues and individuals from around the US. Its primary goal
