(PRWEB) May 25, 2005 -- United Teacher Associates Insurance Company (UTA) is
about to embark on a major undertaking to Web-enable Medicare supplement
insurance enrollment as well as routine agent services. The Austin, TX company
recently signed with IdeaStar Inc.(www.ideastar.com), of Cleveland, OH to design, develop and
host an exclusive, state-of-the-art Web site for UTA-appointed agents. The site
represents UTA’s first foray into online, electronic signature-based enrollments
for senior health and life products. Top producing UTA agents are anxious to
obtain online processes as they seek to stay competitive with market forces.
“We’re very excited at the prospect of the IdeaStar system and online MedSup
enrollments,” said Gary Boesch, UTA Managing General Agent and MedSup sales
leader nationwide.
The vision of UTA’s President, Billy Hill, is to
automate agent enrollment, agent servicing and most important, the Medicare
supplement insurance education and enrollment process. The new Web site is
expected to process several thousand Medicare supplement applications per month
in a paperless fashion, according to Mike Wise, vice president of IdeaStar
Insurance Technologies. Senior life enrollment and other products will be added
in the future.
In addition, the new capabilities will help attract other
agents into UTA’s fold. “Site design and architecture, creating an enjoyable yet
efficient and accurate agent experience, are critical in the effort to recruit
and retain agents,” Mike said. He added, “The seamless integration with Lifepro,
UTA’s back-end administration system, will complete the workflow and enable
high-speed policy issuance.” IdeaStar (www.insurance-technologies.com) will be redeploying its proven
technology for UTA, significantly enhancing UTA’s existing business processes at
a compelling price-point.
UTA also expects the new Web site to reduce
policy administration costs. UTA Vice President of Administration Melissa
Honeycutt and Manager of Compliance Venae Jewett will oversee the project. Both
are excited about improving service to several thousand independent agents as
they go about selling in the senior market. The site is targeted for launch in
the early Fall of 2005.
