Objective Financial Advice Now Accessible to All Texans
John Gay, CFP® and his firm, Frisco Financial Planning, offer fee-only investment and financial planning advice to Texas residents from all walks of life.
(PRWEB) May 11, 2005 -- A financial planner in the fast-growing Dallas suburb
of Frisco is redefining how consumers get help with their investments and
personal finances.
“Most financial firms either target the ultra-wealthy
or they make their living selling financial products. Frisco Financial Planning
brings objective, fee-only advice within reach of people from all walks of
life,” says the company’s principal, John Gay.
Fee-only means the firm
receives no commissions or product-based compensation; its sole source of
revenue comes directly from its clients. Also, as a Registered Investment
Adviser governed by the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the firm has a legal
fiduciary duty to serve the best interests of its clients.
“Our approach
is unique in the industry. We are completely independent; our clients are our
sole concern. We empower everyday middle-income Americans to take control of
their finances. Our goal is not to create a perpetual dependency, rather, we
serve as a knowledgeable and independent consultant; we get people on the right
track and are there for periodic guidance when needed,” says Gay.
The
firm offers its services on an “hourly, as-needed” basis and does not impose any
minimum income or net worth requirements on its clients. Clients are free to
engage the firm when they feel their situation warrants; no long-term contracts
are used.
An initial “get acquainted” meeting is offered at no cost or
obligation to all prospective clients. A firm fee is quoted before any work is
begun.
“After the initial meeting we’re able to quote a firm fee for the
proposed analysis and recommendations. At that point, the person is able to
engage us or say ‘no thank you’; there are no surprises,” says Gay.
The
firm offers advice in the areas of investments, retirement planning (including
401k plan advice), college funding, insurance, income tax planning, and estate
planning.
