CME Outfitters Announces New Joint Sponsorship Educational Partners
Duke University Medical Center and Endovascular Institute, Inc. choose CMEO as the accredited joint sponsor for upcoming continuing medical education activities
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) June 1, 2005 -- CME Outfitters (CMEO) has been selected
to provide accreditation services for the U.S. Department of State (http://www.state.gov). In
association with the Duke University Medical Center's Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Sciences (http://psychiatry.mc.duke.edu), which will share faculty and
content development duties, CMEO will assume accredited provider
responsibilities for an international series of CME symposia to educate
clinicians in the employ of the State Department.
In another project,
CMEO will enter into a joint sponsorship collaboration with The Endovascular
Institute (http://www.endovascular-institute.com) to provide
accreditation services for a live symposium to be held in the summer of 2005.
EVI develops quality educational programs for the endovascular community,
serving the educational needs of professionals around the globe through
operations in publishing, academia, and healthcare communications.
CMEO
is a nationally recognized provider of multidisciplinary continuing education
for healthcare professionals by the ACCME (http://www.accme.org), ACPE (http://www.acpe-accredit.org), APA (http://www.apa.org), NYSNA/ANCC (http://www.nysna.org / http://www.nursingworld.org/ancc), and others. CMEO offers
expert joint sponsorship and other educational, marketing, and production
services for non-accredited education and training organizations.
CMEO
realizes today's clinical environment is increasingly multidisciplinary in
nature and therefore offers multiple types of CE credit based on each activity's
target audience to ensure our educational partners achieve maximum audience
reach for their CE activities.
CMEO also offers comprehensive outcomes
evaluation research services. The company utilizes a 5-step, dual-strategy
methodology for validating the impact of its educational activities on
participant performance. The methodology uses a combination of clinical
vignettes and successive follow-up surveys over a period of 3 months
post-activity.
CMEO has assumed an increasingly visible role in shaping
changes in the CME/CE field. In addition to strong relationships with multiple
accrediting bodies, CME Outfitters is an engaged member of the Alliance for CME
(http://www.acme-assn.org)
and the North American Association of Medical Education and Communication
Companies (http://www.naamecc.org). The company's accreditation
executives hold committee and faculty roles in these organizations and regularly
attend national and regional conferences and workshops related to CME/CE. They
also have extensive knowledge of accreditation and other regulatory guidelines
impacting today's CME/CE Industry (FDA, PhRMA Code, OIG).
Through these
efforts, CME Outfitters has earned a reputation for serving the public interest
by developing evidence-based, fair balanced CME activities, and will continue to
be an authoritative and respected voice in support of bias-free educational
programming.
