Five Statuettes for DigiNovations in 2004 Telly Awards Competition for Creative Video
DigiNovations of Concord, Massachusetts, won Telly Awards for creative video production in five different categories: Video Animation, Fundraising Video, Corporate Image, Educational Video, and Recruitment Video. The award-winning films were created on behalf of four Boston-area educational institutions.
Concord, MA (PRWEB) June 7, 2004 -- DigiNovations' North Bridge Productions
was recognized in five different categories for its creative excellence in video
production in the 2004 international Telly Award competition, announced this
week. Films created by the Concord (MA)-based creative firm won top honors in
the Video Animation and Fundraising Video categories, and were named Finalists
in the Corporate Image, Educational Video, and Recruitment Video categories. The
Telly Awards represent the premiere international-level honor for local,
regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and
film productions.
The award winning films were created on behalf of four
different Boston-area educational institutions: Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, Perkins School for the Blind, Brimmer and May School, and the LEAP
School. "We've set out on a mission to bring the power and impact of digital
video production to institutions and companies throughout New England," said
Michael Kolowich, president and executive producer of DigiNovations. "It's
fabulous to be recognized by our peers in the creative community, and even
better to see the results our video productions help bring about."
The
Telly Award for Video Animation went to a film that North Bridge Productions
produced for MIT's Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies in Cambridge. The film
shows how emerging technologies and processing techniques at the molecular scale
can produce new materials and devices that can better protect soldiers in
decades to come. The film about ISN's vision and work, "Soldier of Future", is
shown to visitors to the Institute, as well as at conferences and meetings
around the world. The animation for the film was designed and created in
collaboration with Boston Animation of Concord, Massachusetts. The film was also
named a Finalist in the Education Video category.
The top Telly award for
Fundraising Video went to a ten-minute film that North Bridge Productions
created for Brimmer and May School in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The program
lays out the case for investment in the school's future with exquisite
videography. "The key to this film," observed DigiNovations president and
executive producer Michael Kolowich, "is that the entire story is told in the
words of the participants -- parents, students, and faculty. Narration was
entirely unnecessary when the characters in the film could articulate the need
so clearly and powerfully."
In the Corporate Image category, recognition
as a Finalist went to "Faces of Perkins", a film which reviews the worldwide
history and mission of the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown,
Massachusetts. North Bridge Productions produced the film in preparation for the
upcoming 175th anniversary celebration of the school.
In the Recruitment
Video category, North Bridge Production won kudos as a Finalist for "LEAP
Forward", a film it created for the LEAP School in Lexington, Concord and
Sudbury, Massachusetts. The film captures the unique features of this language
enrichment arts program for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten
children.
