Armedia Awarded Certification in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program
Armedia LLC, was recently certified as a participant in the U.S. Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development (BD) program. This nine year program is designed to help minority owned small business be successful into the future.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 22, 2005 -- During participation in the program,
Armedia will receive business development assistance from an assigned Business
Opportunity Specialist. Furthermore, Armedia will be eligible to participate in
bidding for 8(a) set-aside contracts. “The 8(a) certification will allow our
clients to get the same exceptional service while meeting their goals of
fostering small businesses” says James Bailey, CFO for Armedia.
Armedia
has also been certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) in the Federal
Government’s SDB program. This program provides support for government
contractors, access to capital, management and technical assistance, and export
assistance. The goal of the SBA is to promote community in neighborhoods, create
jobs, and encourage economic growth by building community-based small
businesses. SBA uses a number of assistance intervention tools, ranging from
contract support to low-interest loans for site acquisition, construction, and
the purchase of new or upgraded equipment.

been providing assistance to small businesses for over 50 years. Their goal is
provide support for entrepreneurships to inspire creativity and promote
empowerment of the entrepreneurial spirit. The SBA encourages an environment
