Stockport, UK (PRWEB) May 21, 2005 -- Food and drink wholesaler, Morris &
Son (Leeds) Ltd, is investing in an 18 user Accord Distribution system from UK
supply chain solutions specialist, Business Computer Projects Ltd
(BCP).
Established over 25 years ago, Morris & Son is one of the UK’s
largest clearance and residual stock management specialists. The company
operates a Delivered and Cash & Carry service from its three purpose built
warehouses in Leeds, serving the needs of customers throughout the UK as well as
a growing export operation. Customers range from market traders and small
convenience stores through to discount chains and other wholesalers.
BCP
is one of the UK’s top suppliers of specialist Supply Chain solutions to the
Food and Drink Wholesale industry with key clients including Woodward
Foodservice, BWG, Musgrave, Pets at Home, Pedigree Foodservice and
SPAR.
Morris & Son has grown steadily in recent years, outgrowing its
existing and ageing IT solution – an accounting package with bespoke elements.
Identifying the need for a proper sector specific solution as the foundation for
future growth plans, the company undertook a survey of available systems, opting
for BCP’s Accord, impressed by its functional fit to their requirements, ease of
use and widespread deployment in the market place.
Morris & Son’s
investment encompasses the complete Accord solution, including Purchasing, Sales
Order Management, Telesales and Financial Accounting. It will be implemented
during summer 2005, ready to go live early in August.
Andy Needham,
Morris & Son Managing Director: “We were very impressed by BCP’s clear
understanding of our market sector and business requirements and the depth of
functionality within the Accord solution. It addresses all our business
requirements and will provide a solid foundation for the future growth and
expansion of Morris & Son over the coming years”.
