Beekeeper’s Daughter “Cleans” Up
Amy Oliver, owner of Country Bee, Inc., didn’t know that her father’s beekeeping business would turn her life around. After trial and error, she has realized her dream of leaving the corporate world.
Goodells, MI (PRWEB) May 22, 2005 -- Local resident, Amy Oliver, had no idea
that her father’s beekeeping business would turn her life around. When Amy
started making handcrafted soaps using her father’s honey and beeswax for fun,
she didn’t know it would turn into a business that would help her to realize her
dream of not working in the corporate world. What started with a couple of
candle making weekends has expanded into a full line of bath and body products.
Country Bee, Inc. was founded with the purpose of creating quality vegetable
based beeswax and herbal body products while being mindful of the environment
and supporting local economy and farmers, without the use of chemicals,
artificial colorants and preservatives.
“Since I’d been involved in a
more natural way of living, I took close notice of all the chemicals I was
ingesting, inhaling and putting on my skin on a daily basis. I wanted to play an
active part in “cleaning” up people’s lives,” explains Amy. “I found that I was
able to heal my sensitive skin issues with all natural products that contained
my dad’s locally harvested honey and beeswax, all the while doing something that
I enjoyed. In today’s society, I didn’t know that I could have a job that I
actually liked and be able to do that job at home.”
Founded in 2001,
Country Bee has been featured in local art and craft shows and farmer’s market’s
in Southeastern Michigan, as well as on their online store. The all natural
product line includes their best selling handcrafted soaps, lip balms, and
herbal salves in scents such as grapefruit peppermint, lavender chamomile and
lemon poppy. A new Babee Line created to meet the exclusive needs of babies and
toddlers premiered this Spring.
