Pearlsong Press to Publish new Romantic Suspense Novel by Pat Ballard
Nashville TN-based publishing company will release next book by the Queen of Rubenesque Romances, Pat Ballard, in fall 2005.
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 9, 2005 -- Pearlsong Press will publish Abigail's
Revenge, a romantic suspense novel by Pat Ballard, in fall 2005.
"We're
excited to add another novel by Pat to our catalog of entertaining and
empowering books," publisher Peggy Elam, Ph.D. said in announcing the deal. "We
hope to have the book available for sale at our booth at the Southern Festival
of Books October 7-9."
Ballard has been dubbed the "Queen of Rubenesque
Romances" due to her featuring plus-sized or "big beautiful" heroines in all of
her works. Her previous novels (Wanted: One Groom, Nobody's Perfect, His
Brother's Child, and A Worthy Heir) and short story collection, Dangerous Curves
Ahead, have also been published by Pearlsong Press.
Ballard began writing
motivational romance novels after dieting and starving herself from age 11 to
33, nearly destroying her health in the process. She decided to eat healthily,
exercise moderately, and accept the body that followed. As her self-acceptance
grew, she realized she wasn't alone in her previous body hatred.
"These
books aren't just for larger women," Ballard says. "They're for women of all
sizes to learn to accept themselves for the wonderful one-of-a-kind creation
they are, and stop trying to look like or be someone they were never genetically
programmed to be."
Her fan base is growing, with readers regularly
commenting on her books' fresh attitude of self-acceptance and recognition of
the natural diversity of body sizes.
Ballard's books can be purchased
from online booksellers including Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, as well as
the retail store at the Pearlsong Press website (www.pearlsong.com), Buck Off
Babes (www.buckoffbabes.com), and Borders bookstores. Other "brick
and mortar" bookstores can order Ballard's books for any customer if the books
are not already on their shelves.
Pearlsong Press books are available to
retailers and libraries through Ingram Book Group, Baker and Taylor, Broadart
Company, and Lightning Source Inc., as well as directly from the publisher (P.O.
Box 58065, Nashville, TN 37205, 1-866-4-A-PEARL, e-mail protected from spam
bots).
The Nashville, TN-based publishing company was founded by Elam, a
psychologist and former journalist, to promote holistic and empowering fiction
and nonfiction and the "Health at Every Size" approach to physical, emotional,
and spiritual well-being.
