(PRWEB) May 19, 2005 -- It’s well known that the Tampa Bay area is a thriving
business center. The proof is in the numbers, which recently revealed that 10
public companies in the region topped $1 billion in revenue.
At the heart
of the Bay Area is the city of St. Petersburg, which is a major contributor to
the area’s success.
“When we applied for a business license in St. Pete,
our office was listed as a Publicity Firm,” says Cassie Chenevert, President of
Savvy Buzz, Inc. “The city didn’t have a code in the computer for Publicity,
because this isn’t the type of company they deal with everyday.”
St.
Petersburg is constantly welcoming new industries, which may have been likely to
plant roots in Tampa and other well known Florida cities in the past.
Fortunately, more and more businesses are recognizing the value of the location,
primarily, because it is the state’s fourth largest city and a gateway to the
high-tech corridor.
“We have the greatest number of households with a net
worth in excess of one million dollars, in the region,” says C.P.A. and owner of
America’s Business Manager, Kerry Bingaman. “As a result, my office frequently
gets calls from out-of-state businesses which are in the relocation
process.”
Not only do wealthy clientele draw business owners to the
region, but the strong manufacturing and information technology sectors also
play a part. Both have been credited for luring new industries in the
region.
“Publicity is extremely important for ground breaking companies
like those in the tech. sectors,” says Kim Justice, co-founder of Savvy Buzz,
Inc. “If I started this company when I moved to the city years ago, we wouldn’t
have stood a chance because of the types of industries that were headquartered
here.”
“Now, we’re one of the first publicity firms headquartered in the
city,” claims Mrs. Justice. “I’m sure we’ll see plenty of other first time
industries moving here for similar reasons.”
