Search Engine Marketing Firm @Web Site Publicity Announces New Technology to Build Product Feeds for Search Engines
Search engine marketing firm @Web Site Publicity announced today the development of proprietary technology to help search marketing clients deliver optimized product feeds of their entire online catalogs to search engines, including Google's shopping engine, Froogle, without impacting client IT staff resources.
PETERBOROUGH, NH - May 12, 2005 @Web Site Publicity, a search engine marketing firm, announced today the
development of a new, proprietary technology that can lighten the IT load for
its e-commerce clients. The new technology, called the SearchCONVERT Product
Feed, allows the company to "crawl" clients' web sites, extract data about each
product in their online catalog, and build an XML feed formatted to perform well
in Paid Inclusion programs such as the Yahoo/Overture Site Match Xchange
program. The same feed can also be adapted for submission to the free shopping
engine, Google's Froogle, as well as to all the other major shopping engines,
including Shopping.com, BizRate and NexTag.
Founder and C.E.O. Susan
O'Neil said her company's investment in this technology is in direct response to
client requests for search marketing services that are "IT-lite" on the client
side. "The marketing staff of several client companies have told us that their
IT resources are overstretched, so anything we could do to make their online
customer acquisition programs less demanding of IT support would be appreciated,
" O'Neil said. "Now, our SearchCONVERT crawler can access the information stored
on deep product pages that even the best crawlers from some of the search
engines cannot get to. Then, we format the data and deliver the feed to
participating search engines for a very cost-effective program."
The same
technology can also be applied to improve the creation of comprehensive
Pay-for-Placement search advertising campaigns, O'Neil added. She noted that
@Web Site Publicity offers this program and technology to companies with 500 or
more SKU's or unique URLs.
Search Engine Marketing firm @Web Site Publicity is based in
Peterborough, NH, and has served client companies throughout the United States
since 1998. O'Neil is the co-author of Maximize Web Site Traffic, one of the
first "how to" books on search engine optimization. Visit the company's site for
