NEC Introduces New Visual Controller for Digital Signage
New BlueFireVC raises the bar, setting new standard in performance
Exton, PA (PRWEB) May 25, 2005 -- Scala, Inc. (http://www.scala.com), the world’s leading software platform
for digital signage, today announced that NEC Unified Solutions is introducing a
new controller for digital signage networks that is bundled with Scala’s award
winning InfoChannel 3 software. The new BlueFireVC will significantly raise the
bar over all other systems used today for controlling a network of flat panel
displays.
Based on a 3GHz hyperthreaded Pentium 4 processor with 80GB
hard drive and an integrated graphics subsystem from ATI, the new BlueFireVC
will set a new standard for digital signage controllers. The BlueFireVC comes
bundled and preconfigured with Scala’s InfoChannel 3 Player (Release 7.4) and
Microsoft Windows XP embedded operating system, making it incredibly easy to
deploy a successful digital signage network.
“We’re pleased to have
Scala’s support in this major new upgrade to the BlueFireVC,” said Russell
Young, Solutions Manager for Digital Signage at NEC Unified. “For our customers,
life just got easier.”
“We couldn’t be any more excited about the new
BlueFireVC. With a compact “hang on the back of the screen” form factor, the
BlueFireVC allows each screen to be IP addressable without the need for big
servers in the back room,” said Jeff Porter, Scala Executive Vice-President.
“It’s a cleaner solution all around with awesome performance.”
The new
NEC BlueFireVC is expected to be available by the end of June from NEC Unified
and their distribution partner ActiveLight.
