GourmetStation Introduces Food & Culture Blog – Delicious Destinations

GourmetStation, the national leading provider of upscale consumer-direct food gifts, announced today it has launched a food and culture blog named Delicious Destinations. Hosted by GourmetStation’s character icon, T. Alexander, Delicious Destinations extends the GourmetStation brand through discussions about food & wine, entertaining, and international culture. Blog strategies were developed and implemented by Bloomberg Marketing and Blue Marble Media, both of Atlanta, GA.

(PRWEB) May 20, 2005 -- The blogging phenomena is sweeping America and companies large and small are exploring ways for blogs to enhance their marketing strategies. “Blog development was a natural strategy for GourmetStation” says Toby Bloomberg of Bloomberg Marketing. “The goal of the company from inception in 1999 was to create a total upscale experience through delicious cuisine, elegant packaging, and an engaging web site. The blog simply allows the experience to extend to a higher level.”

Donna Lynes-Miller, Founder & President of GourmetStation explains further. “We want our customers to have a multi-dimensional experience. That’s why we chose to use our established icon as the web site host, T. Alexander.” Acting as host for the web site and host for blog, T. Alexander presents light-hearted information on entertaining tips as well as food history and trivia.

“T. Alexander is the quintessential online host” says Cara Barineau, President of Blue Marble Media, co-creator of T. Alexander and co-author of blog posts. “The character existed as a brand extension on the web site and in newsletters for a couple of years, and it was only natural that T extend to the GourmetStation blog.”

From time to time “real” people will join T. Alexander as guest bloggers. For example, travel writers and celebrity chefs from the US and abroad will be invited to share insights about culture and entertaining. For more information visit www.gourmetstation.com or call 1-888-944-9794.
